About the Event
Please join us for guest speaker Alexander 'Sandy' MacQuarrie, and the inaugural PAPEI Journal Club meeting, on September 16th - 1800 at the UPEI Health Sciences Building room 103.
Originally from PEI, Sandy lectures at Griffith University in Australia. He will present his PhD thesis 'Fit for duty: context and correlates of paramedic health status and job performance.' It includes four studies ranging from a survey, to the use of a biometric shirt that measures physiological markers of on duty paramedics. His thesis can be found here: https://researchoutput.csu.edu.au/en/publications/fit-for-duty-context-and-correlates-of-paramedic-health-status-an
Afterwards, the PAPEI Journal Club will meet to discuss a systematic review on the use of TXA (see citation and attached article). We'll move to a more comfortable location, like the campus pub, where we'll keep the discussion light and informal. I've attached some literature and a checklist to help you with the appraisal process.
